The District 52 Board of Directors is in regular communication with our League Presidents regarding the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19) and a potential resumption of play.  As of Thursday April 30, 2020 at 3:00PM EST Little League International has formally cancelled all Little League Regional and World Series Tournaments.

Little League International has announced that beyond their May 11 postponement date leagues are okay to resume play, as this virus is impacting everyone differently all across America and some places are more ready to resume play safely and with minimal risk than others. They have also announced that District and State tournaments can continue provided that it is perceived as safe in the region with the blessings of local health governing bodies.

The District 52 Board of Directors, which oversees 14 Little Leagues across two counties along the San Francisco Peninsula will continue to work with our League Presidents to decide if and when play can safely be resumed. We will not rush to this decision, or make it lightly...

Once it is determined if and when play can be resumed within leagues, we will then proceed with exploring options for any Super Bowl or All Star Tournaments. These will always be done with the safety of all of our Little League players, coaches, and families in mind.

It is important to remember that Little League is not a baseball program, Little League is a Leadership program - and the Leadership we show now in these hard, uncertain times will allow us to come back stronger than ever before!
